Single Tied:
Single tied bellows is a single bellow but with an addition of tie rods. The tie rods are normally attached to the end pipes or flanges with lugs that carry pressure thrust of the system. This thus eliminated the need of main anchors. By adding tie rods, the bellows cannot expand, hence axial growth is lost. Although the bellows, can still take compression, lateral and angulation. Although single tied bellows eliminates main anchors, but it still requires well-planned guide system.
